What is a Fractional AI Exec, in plain English?
It is what it sounds like. You get a senior AI operator working in your business part-time, without the full-time salary. I show up, build the things, run the systems, and keep the AI roadmap moving. Companies that are too small for a full-time Head of AI but too serious to ignore it use this kind of role to get the value without the cost.
Who is this actually for?
Companies doing $1M to $10M in revenue, 5 to 50 people, where the founder or COO knows AI is the next leverage point but does not have time to figure out where to start. If your tools are not talking to each other and nobody owns the AI roadmap, this is for you.
Is there a contract?
Three month minimum on every retainer tier. Then month-to-month with a 30-day cancel notice. That is enough runway for me to actually deliver value. Less than that and you are paying for setup time you never benefit from.
Why the setup fee on Builder and Brain?
The first two weeks are heavy. I audit your stack, talk to your team, document your workflows, and set up the systems we need to work together. The setup fee covers that ramp. After that, your monthly retainer is execution, not onboarding.
What do hours actually cover in The Builder and The Brain?
Everything that moves the work forward. Building automations, configuring tools, writing prompts, debugging integrations, training your team, joining working sessions. Hours do not cover anything outside the AI and automation scope (no logo design, no copywriting for ads, no graphic design).
Can I upgrade or downgrade tiers?
Yes. Tier changes take effect the next billing cycle. If you start with Compass and realize you need execution help, we move to Builder. If Brain feels like more than you need after a few months, we step down to Builder. No drama.
What if I need help that is bigger than the hours in my tier?
Two options. We move to a bigger tier the next billing cycle, or we bolt on additional hours at the same hourly rate. I will tell you when you are getting close so you are not surprised.
Do I have to buy a retainer to get The 2nd Brain?
No. The 2nd Brain works as an add-on to any tier OR as a standalone product. $3,000 setup, $500 a month for maintenance. That is it.
